Of course it is very difficult to tell who are the best actresses, criteria can be different. But I want to write my personal opinion.
So, as I think on the 5-th position is Audrey Hepburn(04.05.1929 – 20.01.1993) – woman “kissed by God”, who is сhampion nominated 11 times for Oscar. Her charm and pretty, aristocratic appearence made her a dream for millions. Women felt jealous about her, men dreamed to occur near her. She is still a sample of beauty and style. Movies where he starred (“How to Steal a Million”, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, “Roman Holiday”) are considered to be classical.
On 4-th position in my personal list is Angelina Jolie – the most seductive actress, with incredibly beautifull eyes and lips, of course. Ideal for many women and dream of every man. Owner of 1 Oscar, six children, and the most handsome man of 2000′s. After getting an Oscar for drama “Girl, Interrupted” she changed orientation of movies she played, and became a star of actions and blockbusters. Her role in “Lara Croft” made her a major sex-symbol of age. Unfortunately recently she told that she was going to stop her actress career, but I hope her ambitions would not let the most beautifull actress disappear from screens.
Third position from my point of view belongs to Marylin Monroe(Norma Jean Baker)(01.06.1926 – 05.08.1962) – the blonde of the century. Movies with her(“The Misfits”, “Some Like It Hot”, “Gentlemen Prefer Blonds”) provoq only pleasunt emotions. She broke the hearts of millions. Was scandalous and unpredictable. Whose life was like a downfall of a star – bright and short, eaving no ability to stay indifferent. Her death is still a secret, though the story of her life is full of secrets too. She left kilometres of film strips with her starring and tonns of paper with her images.Legend during the life, legend after the life…
On the second place is Julia Roberts, owner of fantastic talant, who conquered millions of people, although not being a sex-symbol or SUPER PRETTY WOMAN. It was enough to be simply PRETTY WOMAN. =) And although she got her Oscar for ” Erin Brockovich”, and highest payment for “Mona Lisa smile”, the whole world loves her for role of sweet prostitute Vivien.
Finally, on the first place is the best actress in my point of view – Nicole Kidman. Every movie with her is masterpiece – “Moulin Rouge”, “The Hours”, “Eyes wide shut”, “Dogville”. Her appearence and talant really worth admiration. She got her fame without any black PR, scandals, but only due to fascinating talant and ability to play in every genres of movies. She is elegant and stylish, beautiful and smart – Real QUEEN of Hollywood.
